Scarlett Johansson Unveils Edgy Transformation for W Magazine’s 40th Anniversary

Last Update:

Scarlett Johansson, known for her classic blonde hair and elegant style, has undergone a dramatic transformation for the cover of W Magazine’s 40th-anniversary edition.

The 27-year-old actress showcases a gothic-inspired look with two-toned Cruella de Vil-style hair and a nose ring, evoking a 90s vibe that’s perfect for Halloween.

Scarlett flaunts her bold new style with striking black and white hair, heavy winged eyeliner, and bright red lipstick on the cover.

Her outfit—a cleavage-baring Dolce & Gabbana silk lace dress over a matching bodysuit—emphasizes her glamorous yet edgy transformation. Multiple diamond rings adorn her fingers, adding to the dark, luxurious aesthetic.

In the cover photo, taken by renowned photographer Steven Klein, Scarlett sits at a dimly lit bar with a glass of whiskey in front of her, looking intensely into the camera.

This new look starkly contrasts her typical appearance, with natural blonde hair and a more conservative style.

Scarlett’s wrist tattoo is also visible on the cover. This tattoo, designed to resemble a bracelet with the words “I Heart NY,” is a tribute to New York City and was inked earlier this year.

In her interview with W Magazine, Scarlett discusses her distaste for turtleneck sweaters, a popular trend in the 90s.

She comments, “They’re horrible. I tried to get into them because they are so practical, but they’re just so unfortunate.” She adds, “Men don’t like turtlenecks. I’ve never met a man who likes anything around his neck besides my hands.”

Scarlett also shares her thoughts on her favorite 90s film, “Jurassic Park,” revealing that it was a “mind-blowing experience.” She recalls saying, “This is going to happen, you guys,” after watching the movie.

She remembers watching Saturday Night Live to see him and remarks, “He’d become red and sweaty and frantic. When he died, it was significant for me.”

W Magazine’s 40th-anniversary edition also features other actresses such as Keira Knightley, Mia Wasikowska, and Rooney Mara on alternative covers.

Scarlett’s appearance comes after completing filming for her new movie, “Hitchcock,” where she portrays Janet Leigh, the iconic character who met a gruesome end in the shower scene from the 1960 classic suspense/horror film.
