Scarlett Johansson and Colin Jost found a way to embrace Halloween despite the ongoing pandemic.
On Wednesday, the couple was recently seen pumpkin picking in Sag Harbor, New York, showing they’re still in the festive mood.
At 35, Scarlett was hunting for the ideal pumpkin among a collection of colorful squashes arranged by a haystack, a nod to the seasonal spirit.
After careful selection, she left with a pale green pumpkin, perfect for adding a Halloween touch to their home, even as restrictions on gatherings impact celebrations this year.
Though they’ve been spending lockdown together in The Hamptons, Colin returned to New York City for Saturday Night Live over the weekend.
The couple, engaged for over a year, had to put wedding plans on hold due to restrictions on large gatherings.
During an interview with Andy Cohen, Colin shared their difficulties with wedding planning under current health guidelines.
“This is not the time to get all your elderly, at-risk relatives together in one big group,” he explained, acknowledging that it might be a while before they can safely host a gathering.
Scarlett and Colin first crossed paths in 2006 when she hosted SNL, where he was a writer. The two began dating in 2017.
In his memoir, A Very Punchable Face: A Memoir, Colin reflected on that first encounter, describing Scarlett as “beautiful, smart, sweet, and intimidatingly sophisticated,” admiring her unique grace and charm that he has yet to see in anyone else.
