After a turbulent few months, Scarlett Johansson seemed to be in high spirits as she returned to work on the set of ‘The Avengers.’
The actress, who recently finalized her divorce from Ryan Reynolds and went through a public breakup with Sean Penn, was all smiles while filming in Central Park, New York.
Johansson, 26, is reprising her role as Black Widow from ‘Iron Man 2.’ This was the first time she was joined by all the other cast members on set since filming began last month.
Sporting tight black trousers, a black T-shirt, and a tan jacket, her hair was dyed back to the vibrant red shade she wore in the previous film. In between takes, she chatted enthusiastically with the crew.
In one scene, Johansson is joined by Jeremy Renner, who plays Hawkeye in the movie. The actress slimmed down for her role, which requires her to wear a black leather catsuit, a signature look for the Black Widow character.
Despite her personal challenges, Johansson’s upbeat attitude on set indicates she’s ready to take on the high-energy role in ‘The Avengers.’
