Quick action was taken to bring the dog to the “In Good Hands” clinic located on Novy Cheryomushki Street. The staff there greeted the dog with warmth and care, ready to assist in its time of need.
Despite experiencing significant pain, the dog quickly ate its food, showing both its hunger and its strong will to survive. However, the news from the veterinarians was grim: the dog had a fracture and severe spondylolisthesis in its spine, which meant it couldn’t walk. This condition was further complicated by the dog’s substantial weight of 50 kilograms. Alongside it was an older dog suffering from kidney failure and multiple organ tumors, a testament to its prolonged hardship.

Understanding their delicate condition, we carefully bathed both dogs, mindful of their pain and limitations. We named the dog Eric. He took comfort in the cozy warmth of his room and seemed to enjoy the sunny mornings, which brought glimpses of happier times to his life.
Eric’s road to recovery is difficult and demands numerous injections and vigilant care. Although progress is slow, there are hopeful signs—Eric’s hind legs are beginning to improve, offering a beacon of optimism amid his challenging situation.

While his future is still uncertain, there is solace in knowing that Eric has been rescued from despair and given a chance to live without pain. As we continue to monitor his recovery, we remain hopeful for a future filled with healing and renewal.
