Indian Forest Services officer Susanta Nanda initially shared the tender moment on Twitter, and it has since won the hearts of the internet.
While the location, time, and circumstances surrounding the video remain unknown, it’s impossible not to be moved by the chimpanzee’s loving care.
The scenes are a testament to pure love, with the footage ending in a sweet kiss from the chimp to the lion cub’s forehead.
The heartwarming video has elicited emotional responses from viewers, with one person commenting, “We humans don’t deserve animals.” Another added, “A mother’s love sees no limits, bounds, color, or species; it only wants to nurture, comfort & help, seeing its child in all children.”
Others were unable to describe the beautiful moment, with one user writing, “No words to explain this,” while another said, “So much love.”
Nanda described the touching scene as “the kiss of the foster mother at the end.”
