Lee Asher’s inspiring journey from growing up surrounded by rescued animals in Los Angeles to becoming a passionate animal rescuer is both moving and admirable.

As a child, Asher spent much of his time at local shelters, which reinforced his dedication to animal welfare. Even at a young age, he knew his life’s mission was to help abandoned or distressed animals find loving homes.
Nowadays, Asher shares his home with a vibrant family of seven dogs—Yaffa, Molly, Cali, BoBo, Butters, Haven, and Lillie—and two cats named Whiskey and Goose.
Each of these animals has a unique rescue story, and they are now thriving thanks to Asher’s devoted care.
In a discussion with The Dodo, Asher shared his strong motivation by saying, “My inspiration comes from my love of dogs.
