Though the staff and her rescuer frequently spoke to her and showed her affection, Kontes remained withdrawn and full of heartbreak, often sitting in the corner of her kennel without engaging. Her rescuer visited often, assuring her that she deserved better and reminded her that her previous owners had not treated her kindly.

Two months later, Kontes’ health had markedly improved, and her skin was fully healed. She left the clinic for a shelter, where her rescuer continued to care for her and lavished her with love. At the shelter, Kontes received nutritious meals that helped her gain weight, and over time, she transformed into a stunning, healthy dog.
She forged new friendships with other dogs in the shelter, particularly with Kont, an abandoned blind dog. His resilience inspired Kontes to leave the past behind and embrace her new life wholeheartedly. Thanks to the love from her rescuer and the support of her canine companions, Kontes found herself smiling once more, secure in the knowledge that she was finally safe and loved.
