After being left without food or water for several days, a neglected dog’s desperate cries for help alarmed her neighbors, who reported the situation to local authorities.
Responding to the call, eBay Bel ercum—a group of independent rescuers managing a shelter in Bel ercum—worked with local police to secure her release from her abusive conditions.
Once rescued, the dog was brought to the shelter, where her recovery process began with a thorough cleaning and a health evaluation. Her initial examination revealed she was severely underweight and infested with ticks.
After removing the ticks, shelter staff arranged for her to be placed in a dedicated recovery area to receive the attention and care she needed.
During a medical checkup, the veterinarian discovered that the dog was also pregnant. She was given blood tests to assess her overall health and additional treatments to support her pregnancy.
Over the following days, she continued receiving food, medical care, and vaccinations. Her weight began to improve, gaining around 1,400 grams as she grew stronger.
As her delivery date approached, veterinarians decided to move her to the hospital to monitor her closely and ensure she received any necessary support during labor.
Thankfully, her birth went smoothly, and she safely delivered three healthy puppies. Now, both the mother and her puppies are on the path to recovery, receiving the care and love they need to thrive.
