The heartwarming tale began when Monster, Captain Keith “Kiwi” Soffes’ loyal companion since she was a puppy, unexpectedly went overboard during one of their daily outings on the water.

Despite being familiar with the sea, Monster vanished without a trace, leaving Keith devastated. “I lost the one thing I loved in this world. My heart is completely broken,” he lamented.
Determined to find her, Keith turned to social media, sharing Monster’s story in hopes that she would reappear. The response was overwhelming, with people all over offering support and prayers.
Five days after Monster’s disappearance, miraculous news arrived—Monster was found alive and well.
FOX 26 in Houston reported that she had swum an astonishing five to six kilometers from Galveston Bay to reach land.
Keith was in disbelief, saying, “Man, she couldn’t have swum that far. That dog couldn’t have been able to swim that far.” Their reunion was an emotional moment, with Keith tearfully embracing Monster, overwhelmed with gratitude.
