One morning, as a man cycled to work, he noticed something unusual on the roadway. As he neared, he was compelled to stop when he realized what it was.
Lying there was a dog, unable to move and too weak to avoid the oncoming traffic. Concerned by the dog’s vulnerable state, the man acted swiftly to help. Lacking a vehicle, he moved the dog to safety off the road and reached out for help.
Galina, a passionate advocate for dogs and an experienced rescuer, answered the call with her partner. Despite it taking them several hours to arrive, the struggling dog was still in the same spot when they reached the location.
The poor animal lay there, unable to move much due to pain. Even so, her eyes lit up when Galina and her colleague approached, as if recognizing the kindness they were about to show. It was as if the dog understood that she no longer needed to face her struggles alone.
In an extraordinary display of will, the dog, later named Yasmin, summoned the strength to crawl towards the rescuers’ car. Her actions were a clear plea for assistance, and her tears spoke of her desperation, but she remained determined and hopeful.
Galina and her colleague, eager to alleviate Yasmin’s distress, carefully placed her in their vehicle and drove her to the nearest veterinarian.
Upon reaching the clinic, Yasmin underwent a series of examinations and tests. Unfortunately, the results were distressing.
Yasmin was not only underweight and neglected; her body temperature was dangerously low, and she suffered from inflamed mammary glands. More troubling was her broken spine, which tragically rendered her back legs unusable, with no surgical options available.
Galina was heartbroken by the diagnosis, but her commitment to Yasmin did not waver. Moved by the dog’s perseverance, Galina shared Yasmin’s plight with a kind-hearted community. Their support ensured Yasmin could continue her recovery journey.
Though the path ahead for Yasmin will be challenging, neither she nor Galina is willing to surrender. Together, they are determined to push through hardships and look forward to brighter days.
