A stray dog, abandoned and struggling to survive, was found with a 10-pound chain weighing down her neck.
The dog, who only weighed 31 pounds herself, was discovered by the Stray Rescue of St. Louis, a group dedicated to helping distressed animals.

The dog had been left alone in a rundown lot filled with abandoned cars, and the heavy chain made it difficult for her to move.
The chain, typically used for securing large fences, was long and burdensome, adding to the dog’s harsh circumstances.

Rescue workers approached the frightened dog with care, offering her snacks to gain her trust. Once the dog felt safe, they gently guided her into their vehicle and brought her to the shelter.
The chain was finally removed from the dog’s neck at the shelter, providing her with much-needed relief.
The moment the chain was taken off, the dog’s face lit up with a joyful smile, reflecting the newfound freedom she must have felt.

The chain was later weighed and confirmed to be 10 pounds, a significant burden for a dog of her size.
The dog, now named Fallon Marie, is recovering at the shelter and is beginning a new chapter in her life filled with hope and happiness.
