A wounded dog lay helpless in a dry roadside ditch, unable to move, yet clinging to hope.
Even though he was in pain, the dog kept his eyes on the road and wagged his tail each time a car drove by. He held onto the belief that someone would notice him.
But no one did—not at first.

Car after car passed without stopping, leaving the dog’s heart heavy with disappointment. Despite this, he did not lose hope.

For several days, he lay there, his tail wagging, waiting for a small miracle.

Finally, that miracle arrived.
One day, a compassionate driver named Tom stopped his car. He couldn’t ignore the sight of the injured pup.

As Tom approached, the dog’s eyes brightened with hope. Here was someone who cared enough to help.
Tom gently petted the dog and realized the extent of his injuries. It seemed likely the dog, later named Coca, had been struck by a vehicle and left by the roadside.

Without a moment’s hesitation, Tom picked up Coca and placed him in his car, offering the dog a sense of safety at last.
During the drive, Coca became emotional, shedding tears as Tom provided him with food and water, en route to the veterinarian.
Once at the vet, Coca was thoroughly examined and underwent X-rays. It turned out he had three fractures in his lower body, necessitating urgent surgery.
Fortunately, the surgery was successful.

Afterwards, Coca moved to a local shelter to begin his recovery. From day one, the shelter staff showered him with love and care.
With proper nutrition, Coca started regaining strength. He quickly learned to trust the kind people around him, his eyes filled with gratitude whenever he looked at them.
Initially, Coca struggled to stand, but he persevered, trying each day. When he finally managed to stand and take a few steps, everyone at the shelter celebrated his triumph.
The once sad pup now wore a smile, and those who cared for him felt a deep sense of pride.

Although Coca was fortunate to be surrounded by loving people, what he truly longed for was a family of his own.
And eventually, that wish was granted.
He met a warm-hearted family who instantly fell for him, and Coca returned their affection. Upon moving into his new home, Coca knew he had found his rightful place.
He felt secure, loved, and ready to embrace the joyful life he had always hoped for.
