Life on the streets is tough for any dog, but especially so for abandoned puppies. Consider the story of Louis, a small puppy left near a landfill due to a leg deformity, facing starvation alone.
Thankfully, fortune smiled on Louis when a group of compassionate individuals discovered him and decided to help. When they found him, he was curled up next to the landfill, unable to move properly because of his bent legs. The little puppy also had multiple health issues, intensifying the cruelty of his abandonment.

The rescuers immediately took Louis to a veterinary clinic, where even the doctors found his condition shocking. Weighing just two kilograms, he was malnourished and possibly suffering from ringworm, prompting the need for a strict dietary plan to aid his recovery.
To improve his spirits during his projected month-long clinic stay, the rescuers brought him toys, which brought him immense joy. Initial tests brought some good news—Louis did not have an infection, setting the stage for a quicker recovery.

However, Louis did face other health challenges, including pyelonephritis, gastroenteritis, and cystitis. These were manageable, and treatment led to remarkable improvements. His paws began to straighten, his fur grew back, and his weight increased to 3.6 kilograms.
Just as things were improving, Louis was diagnosed with parvovirus. While this was concerning, the veterinarians closely monitored him and were optimistic about his recovery given his strengthened health. Fortunately, Louis pulled through and was eventually discharged.

A loving family welcomed Louis into their home, ensuring his continued care. His joyful personality surprised everyone, leaving behind the pain he had once known. Louis and his family often visited his rescuer, a reunion he always enjoyed.
Louis thrives as a sociable pup, making friends easily and bringing delight to his new family, especially considering his fondness for children. Witnessing his incredible transformation from hardship to happiness is truly heartwarming. Now, Louis lives a fulfilled life with a caring family who cherishes him.
