Upon arriving at the veterinary hospital, she was in a heartbreaking state, painfully thin and showing signs of severe neglect. It is likely that she was used as a breeding dog in a kennel, forced to have numerous litters.
Once she was no longer profitable, she was abandoned, covered in ticks and fleas, with mutilated ears and an amputated leg—likely due to being caught in traps.
Shockingly, her teeth were all ruined, possibly deliberately, to prevent her from biting male dogs or due to her attempts to escape confinement by chewing on her pen’s fence.
This sad state serves as a reminder of the cruelty that animals can suffer at the hands of humans. During her stay at the hospital, there was a possibility that her leg would need further amputation.
Despite her difficult past, she remains gentle and sweet, a testament to her enduring spirit despite having been exploited for so long.
As she starts a new chapter in her life, she has been given the name Iris. Her experiences have left deep scars, both physically and mentally, but she is now on the path to healing and happiness.
After receiving treatment, Iris was allowed to go to her new home, where she found joy. She delights in playing with her toys and sleeping on a comfortable bed—luxuries she had never known before.
Iris is finally receiving the care and affection she deserves and is beginning to forget the hardships of her past. Her future now looks bright, filled with love and respect in her new environment.
