Their eyes were full of fear, and it was clear they were waiting—hoping—for their mother to come back.

Eventually, she did. Cautious and thin, the mother dog, later named Vaniyam, had been desperately searching for food.

Meanwhile, her pups, Jadu and Hetal, showed signs of malnutrition, their bellies bloated and their trust worn thin.

No matter how gently I tried to comfort them, they remained frightened, retreating to corners and watching every move.

With help from a friend, we were able to bring Vaniyam in safely, and treatment began for the whole family.

Jadu was especially difficult—her fear often turned into aggression. Hetal, on the other hand, responded well to kindness.

To give each pup the care they needed, we had to separate them briefly, which only added to their anxiety.

Slowly but surely, they started to heal. When they were finally reunited, their bond remained strong, though their cautious behavior reminded us how much they’d been through.

With time, their skin healed, and they began to let go of the fear that had once controlled them.

All three found loving homes, where they now live free from the hunger and danger of the streets.

Vaniyam, once so wary, now runs joyfully, her past replaced by safety and affection.

Watching their transformation has been a powerful reminder of what care and compassion can do.
